THE Champion of Champions at the 122nd Glendale Show was the overall winning horse.
Rachel Robson’s Willow Park beat the champions from the sheep, cattle, donkey and llama sections to take the title at the event at Wooler on August bank holiday.
Willow Park added the title to the lightweight hunter, overall hunter and overall horse section titles won earlier in the day.
Overall cattle champion was JL Marks, of Gilly Flatts Farm, Bishopton, near Darlington. Shown by Chris Strom, the winner was a 15- month-old pedigree Limousin heifer, Oddacres Ivy. Reserve Champion was G & JA Sedgwick, from Aycliffe.
The sheep interbreed champion was Alan Cowens, of Selkirk, with a Cheviot Hill type gimmer.
The overall winner of the livestock points competition was WD Allen, of Humbleheugh, Alnwick, and the young handler of the year was Isobel Forsythe, of Lowsteads Farm, Longhoughton.
The show attracted 15,000 visitors and exhibitors from across the North-East and Scotland.
