A SERIES of workshops on machinery costings is being held by the National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC) and Farming4Profit.
The aim is to help contractors improve their understanding of the cost and associated risks of owning and operating expensive machinery.
Jennifer Donn, NAAC executive officer, said: “Competitor pressure will always affect the rate that can be charged, but it is so important to make sure your charge covers your running costs and produces profit, otherwise it’s cheaper to leave the machine in the yard.”
The venues include Newton Rigg College, Penrith, on November 25, and Askham Bryan College, York, on December 3.
To attend, contact the NAAC on 01780 784631.
