A YOUNG farmer swept up at an annual sheep show.
Youngster Stephen Teward of Messrs Teward
New View Farm, in Staindrop, recently attended the Eastgate Sheep Show for the first time.
The 12-year-old competed with help from his mother Rosalyn Teward.
He showed the New View Texel MV accredited flock and won champion texel and overall champion on the day over all the other breeds.
Mrs Teward said: "I am immensely proud of him – seeing his little face said it all."
The family intend to show in next year's Eastgate Sheep Show.
