THE committee of Tynedale Agricultural Society welcomed a new president to head up the Northumberland County Show at itsAGM last month.
David Carr , farmer and haulage contractor of Highwood Farm, Hexham, has been a long-serving member of the organising committee and a well-known face in the show’s cattle section.
He succeeds Harry Mole, who has completed his three-year tenure in the post.
David said: “I am honoured to follow in Harry’s footsteps and I am looking forward to serving the show as president.”
Harry thanked all those who had supported him during his presidency, expressing his gratitude to all those who help during the set up and take down of the show, and wished David the very best of luck.
