Coaches and organisers at Ellesmere Titans, based at Ellesmere College, have thanked team members for their patience after the club made its return to training.
The club returned to training on Monday morning, following a delay to the sport’s comeback after discussions with the government and swimming’s national bodies.
Swimmers at the Titans had been out of action since March – the start of lockdown restrictions in the UK – and Alan Bircher, head coach at the club, was left frustrated by the long delay.
But a club spokesman took to social media to thank all for abiding by the rules and making the return easy to manage.
A spokesman: “It was such a pleasure to see all the swimmers turning up for swim training today.
“A big well done to everyone for help, advice and assistance with getting back in the pool.”
