A MENTAL health support service has reopened in Northallerton.

The Living Rooms is a community hub in Garthway Arcade where it is “OK not to be OK” and offers a safe space, especially for those who whose mental health is a challenge.

It has now been able to re-open under government Covid-19 guidance for support groups.

Steve Cowie, Chair of the Trustees, said: ‘We know how much our visitors have missed the opportunity to meet since we had to close in mid-January.

"It has been a tough winter for all of us but especially for those who are isolated or have challenges with their mental wellbeing.

"We are delighted to be able to open our doors again to welcome visitors and hope it won’t be long before it is safe to be fully operational."

He said the group was grateful for the support and grants received from the ‘All Churches Trust’, Hambleton District Council and North Yorkshire County Council.
