THE Northern Echo has launched an awards scheme to celebrate the achievements, hard work and all-round positivity in education across the North-East and North Yorkshire.
The Education Awards will honour dozens of students, teachers, support staff, governors, leaders and schools.
The closing date for nominations is midnight on Friday, June 4.
The awards presentation evening will be in a virtual setting and will be streamed live on Thursday, September 30.
The awards celebrate all the great work that goes on in our classrooms, behind the scenes, in teacher associations and in the wider community.
Our ten categories include Governor of the Year; Newcomer of the Year; Secondary School Teacher of the Year; Star Student of the Year (under 16) and Star Student of the Year (over 16).
