AS is the case for many across the UK, Ladies in Pigs (LIPs) has had a very different 2020 and start to 2021 due to the pandemic.

However, the group has remained active and visible by being creative with its delivery.

Chairwoman Debbie Wilson said: “We realised early on in the pandemic that we would need to review and revise our delivery to provide educational support to students of all ages.

"We worked hard at developing a raft of online educational resources – accessible both from our website, via social media, or in the case of our cookalong sessions, via Facebook live. We have even started to develop content to go on TikTok.”

Following the release from lockdown, the team has been working in schools and colleges across the country, delivering a day full of fun, facts, and fantastic food.

Debbie and the team will also be out this year across the country and hoping to attend some of the events in the North-East, such as Wolsingham Show and Stanhope Show, but these are still to be confirmed. They will also be at the Great Yorkshire Show in July.

For details on all the events they have planned, visit www.ladiesinpigs/events or follow them on any of the social media platforms.

Ladies in Pigs relies on sponsorship to be able to deliver its promotional and educational programme of events across the country, and this is more important than ever due to the late return to live events compared to a normal year and to the volume of events they are being requested to attend.
