MORE than 70 tractors took part in a vintage rally on the weekend across the Teesdale area in order to raise money for charity.
The tractor road run was organised by Rachel Anderson and Martyn Hodgson in order to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association and Dementia UK.
The rally, which saw 75 vintage tractors take part, was able to cover 35 miles across the Teesdale area.
The run raise £1,605 which will be split equally between Dementia UK and The Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Rachel Anderson said: “The local community and people from a far have come together to support and raise money for two fantastic charities.
“Many of us have lost or have friends and family who have suffered with these illnesses and without the support of these charities, dealing with it would be a lot harder.
“Thank you to the local businesses and public who have donated prizes for our raffle.
“We had really good feedback from people saying that they’d obviously enjoyed the views and everything.
“It was right across Teesdale we were up, we did around three reservoirs.
“It’s still open so if anyone wants to donate we’re still taking donations in and we’re splitting it between both charities.”
They also thanked Richard Iceton, who let the rally have his field on East Thorngarth Hill Farm for the lunchtime and where the raffle was held as well.
