A clearance rate of 87% was achieved at Darlington Farmers Auction Marts’ inaugural Ewetopia multi-breed evening sale of pedigree and pure-bred ewes, gimmers and ewe lambs.

Top price was 820gns for a Texel gimmer from the Brannens of Scar Top, with the same home selling the reserve overall champion, a Suffolk ewe lamb at 720gns.

Scar Top also sold a Texel ram lamb at 510gns, which was matched by a Charollais lamb from Deborah Whitcher’s pedigree Galtres flock.
